Representing 14,000 peace officers and public safety employees in Texas, the Texas Municipal Police Association has endorsed State Representative Betty Brown for re-election.

(Terrell, TX) State Rep. Betty Brown has issued the following statement and challenged her opponent, personal injury trial lawyer Wade Gent, to stop misrepresenting her record.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison endorsed State Representative Betty Brown Monday morning at a breakfast full of supporters and community leaders at the Cedar Creek Country Club.

"Betty Brown has stood up for her district and her seniority allows her to be effective for Henderson and Kaufman Counties," said Hutchison.

Terrell, TX – The most recent Texas Ethics Commission campaign finance reports show that Wade Gent, the personal injury trial lawyer who is running against State Rep. Betty Brown, has accepted enormous contributions from liberal groups including personal injury trial lawyers, big gambling interests, unions, and Democrats.

“We were not surprised to see that illegal corporate contributions from Nevada as well as the Texas gambling industry may be funding the smear campaign against Betty Brown,” said Brown Campaign Manager Jordan Berry.
