Dist. 4 State Rep. Betty Brown’s 2-hour Town Hall meeting was a friendly discussion on conservative principles and the Texas economy.

Texas is the place to be to cope with the current economic storm, State Rep. Betty Brown told the crowd at the December Athens Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday.

State Representative Betty Brown has filed for re-election to serve Henderson and Kaufman Counties in the Texas House of Representatives.

On Thursday afternoon, Texas Speaker of the House Joe Straus endorsed State Rep. Betty Brown as the two hit the campaign trial together to visit with voters from across Kaufman and Henderson Counties.

State Representative Betty Brown has won re-election with one of the largest percentages in competitive Texas House races.

"It has been my great pleasure to represent both Henderson and Kaufman Counties," Brown said. "I look forward to returning to Austin to prevent illegal immigrants from voting in our elections."
